Rainy Monday Got You Down? We're Just Four Days from Fridays @ 5!

Downtown Mobile’s after work street party continues with the LoDa Artwalk Friday, May 8, from 5-9. Music will fill the air with local talent on street corners along Dauphin and in downtown parks to start off the weekend. Listen to the music while you make your way to each gallery and shop along the LoDa Artwalk.


Friday @ 5 will feature several different local musicians in May; Roman Street will play in Cathedral Square while El Cantador in Bienville Square from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00p.m. Catt Sirten will feature Radio Avalon music in front of Three Georges from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. then Greg Brown follows up from 7:00p.m.-9:00p.m. Another street corner featuring music is Dauphin St. and Lawrence St. with Lisa Mills from 5:00 p.m.-7:00p.m. and Jon Miller finishing the night from 7:00p.m.-9:00p.m.


Fridays @ 5 will continue with the LoDa Artwalk through June. Come out and enjoy the beautiful weather, great music and local art on every second Friday of the month. Great Weather + Great Market = A Great Saturday


The weather forecast this Saturday in Mobile is perfect! Just in time for the opening of the Spring/Summer Market on the Square. Downtown Mobile’s seasonal farmers’ market opens its doors again beginning Saturday, April 25th between 7:30 and 11 a.m. on Cathedral Square. Each week, the market offers shoppers the freshest varieties of locally grown produce, seafood, honeys, beef, plants and cut flowers. Specialty items such as freshly baked breads, artisanal pastas, cheeses, and handcrafted goods for kitchen and home will also be available each week until the season closes on July 25th.

Get Your ArtWalk-ing Shoes On!


Downtown Mobile’s monthly gallery hop, the LoDa ArtWalk welcomes Spring with a bevy of entertainment both inside unique shops and institutions as well as along the streets and in the public squares on Friday, April 10th from 5 until 9 p.m. From Washington Avenue to Royal Street, there will be live music galore, painting demonstrations, and extended hours at the Museum of Mobile. In between these wonderful exhibits, local galleries, studios and unique shops open their doors and invite the public inside to view and support our local artisans. Fridays @ 5 will fill the streets with beautiful, interesting and unique sounds of local musicians on street corners and in Cathedral and Bienville Square. In addition, there will be a live 12 piece painting demonstration and free beverages courtesy of local artist Aaron Hunt in Bienville Square beginning at noon and showcased under the lights of the Square in the evening. Pirates! will also join in the ArtWalk fun with extended hours at the Museum of Mobile until 9 p.m. Admission to the exhibit is $5 for adults; $4 for seniors; $3 for students and 6 and under are free.

The ArtWalk is a fun, free and family friendly event sponsored by the participating venues and the City of Mobile’s Neighborhood & Community Services Department.
