The Mobile Police Department’s Mounted Detail, Ranger Unit, K9 Unit, Tactical Response Unit, and Crime Prevention Detail will hold Kids Day tomorrow, July 9 at 11 a.m. for more than 120 area children. Elmer the clown will demonstrate his expertise (or lack thereof) in horseback and ATV riding while the children are educated about the numerous police department components and their importance.The events will take place at the MPD Mounted Unit’s training facility at 1251 Virginia Street.
This is in addition to the Kids Days in Bienville, which concludes its season tomorrow from 10 a.m. til 1 p.m. Kids Days in Langan Park will take place on July 18 and 25.
