Four Mobile Police Officers ventured to Alexander City, Ala. April 18 to participate in the Amphibious Warrior Adventure Race (AWAR) sponsored by the Auburn Marines, members of the Auburn University Navy ROTC. Adventure racing is a test of will, determination and stamina combining several disciplines to include trekking, orienteering, running, mountain biking and paddling kayaks or canoes.
Detective Heath Harville, Detective Christopher Wallace, Lt. Mike Morgan, and Sgt. Kendell Sterrett ran six miles, canoed three miles, navigated three miles and completed challenging obstacles to place third in the Sport Division of the race.
